Matize was founded by José, Tiago, and Marcos, three longtime friends united by a shared love for golf and deep roots in the textile industry. José, who studied and played golf professionally in the U.S., identified a growing gap in the market for more modern, expressive golf apparel. When he returned to Portugal he joined forces with Tiago and Marcos, and with José's family running a production unit in the North of Portugal, Matize came together naturally, born at the intersection of golf, design and craftsmanship.
