At the beginning of 2019, after many years abroad with her family, Rita knew the moment she came back to Portugal she wanted start a personal project - thought, designed and produced by her. She wanted to make colorful, playful but still refined and delicate jewelry by hand. The name Piino came to Rita from a childhood memory of making handstands (pino in Portuguese) on the sand while spending long days at the beach. The name stems from that time and from the perfect metaphor it is - a representations of freedom and happiness: feeling free with our body and mind, facing challenges without being afraid of the fall, finding a balance in life and being confident in who we are.
