Some dates aren’t just history — they’re legacy. April 25th, 1974 was the day Portugal chose freedom. Decades later, on that same date, something new began.

Born From Revolution
Enter Coup D’État. A brand rooted in rebellion, built with pride, and launched with purpose. We didn’t choose April 25th for sentiment. We chose it because it reflects exactly who we are. A label made for the bold, by the bold. Grounded in tradition, but built to disrupt.
Where It Happened: Porto. Loud and Proud.
At Largo dos Lóios, right in the heart of Porto, we teamed up with The Feeting Room and turned a launch into a movement. Sunlight poured in, crowds showed up, and something electric took over the space. A shared feeling that this wasn’t just another collection drop. It was a statement.
Introducing Sardines. Our First Drop.
Our debut collection, Sardines, is everything we stand for. Playful. Proud. Fiercely local. Every piece was designed and produced within 60km of Porto, crafted by makers who know this land and its stories. It’s not nostalgia. It’s a remix of heritage, reimagined for now.
Food, Beats, and the Culture That Raised Us
No pretension. No performance. Just real energy. People hung out, danced, played matrecos, and ate like they were back at their grandmother’s kitchen table. Bolinhos de bacalhau, rissóis, tremoços — if it belongs at a proper Portuguese celebration, it was there. DJ Ricardo Festa kept the rhythm alive, and the crowd kept it moving.
More Than Fashion. It’s a Mindset.
Coup D’État isn’t trying to fit in. We’re not here to follow rules. We’re here to create something that speaks to people who know where they come from but want more from where they're going. The red carnation isn’t a logo. It’s a reminder. That change is possible, and style can carry a story.
This is only the beginning.
