Hi! First off, introductions are in order: What is your name and what is your role at A-line?

I'm Diana and I do the PR & Communications at A-line Clothing.

     

What is the story behind A-line? When did it start and what was the inspiration behind it?

A-line shape, usually used to refer to skirts or dresses, is narrow at the top and wider at the bottom. Though we have started by doing tops (shirts and blouses), we decided to, sort of "invert" the A, and use the expression for our name! It all started back in 2016. The main inspiration was, because there was a segment of women unsuccessfully seeking for elegant, comfortable pieces that were adaptable and suitable for any time of the day.

What are the values that drive the brand?

Simplicity meets sophistication.

How does the creative process for the products carry out?

Our Creative Director, Alexandra Carneiro, works together and has a close partnership with the design team, and with all the women who form the company.

Personally, what is your day like working at A-line?

Honestly? Always on the computer or on my cellphone :) But I can't complain, since I love my job!

The Blue Pierrot blouse, from our Chapter 01.

How has The Feeting Room played into the brand's growth?

The Feeting Room is being the best window display to show our product, in Portugal.
